TaxAssist Accountants launches pilot operation

Before taking on the TaxAssist Master Franchise Greg operated a successful accountancy practise CCMG in Dublin, while Roddy worked as a software development and accountancy specialist.
Clontarf City Councillor Deirdre Heney officially opened the Dublin-based shop front. She said: "I am pleased that Greg and Roddy have chosen Dublin to launch this new service. It is testimony to Dublin's extensive and hard-working small business sector and the wealth of entrepreneurial talent we have. I wish them every success with this flagship practice and their planned rollout with budding franchisees across the country."
Interest in the TaxAssist Accountants is already high with Greg and Roddy receiving enquiries from interested investors from across the Republic of Ireland. Greg comments: "Many of the people we are speaking to are from banking and financial services backgrounds, looking to invest redundancy packages in their own business. Accountancy experience is useful, but business acumen and sales backgrounds are as valuable as at start-up stage we can provide all the technical support. What is essential is that they understand the needs of small enterprise - as small businesses themselves that will ensure their own success as well as those of their clients.
"Ireland has a tremendous tradition for hard working, entrepreneurial small businesses, with over 83,000 small enterprises in the services sector, almost half family-owned and over 50,000 small enterprises in industry, together employing some 430,000 people. Despite the strength of the sector, there is a major gap in the market for providing those businesses with straightforward, accessible tax and accountancy services."
Founded in 1995, TaxAssist Accountants provides small businesses and the self-employed with tax and accountancy services. To date TaxAssist Accountants has 160 practises operating across the UK. The Republic of Ireland is its first Master Franchise License and will be the blueprint for further possible international expansion plans.
