'Hugely rewarding'

Remarkable weight losses are being achieved by Celbridge mums, commuters and local workers following the grand opening of a Ladies Workout Express 30-minute fitness centre.

Margaret Walsh, Celbridge franchisee, says it's hugely rewarding to see her club working, bringing in new members and producing real results for those members. 'In our five-week summer challenge one of our members lost 11 inches, and one of our regular members has lost 25 Ibs since the club opened four months ago,' she reveals.

'We open from 9am until 9pm Mon to Thurs so it's convenient for commuters who can workout after work, and being just 30 minutes, local workers can come in during their lunch hour. We also offer new members a discount off their first visit. There's a real need for Ladies Workout Express in Celbridge and we have great plans to increase membership and open a second club.'

Margaret initially discovered the Ladies Workout Express franchise in the US, where the brand originated, and decided that it would be a concept with the potential to take off in Ireland. 'I've always wanted to work for myself and after looking at many franchises found this one to be right for me,' she recalls. 'The company is easy to work with, the support is great -especially from existing franchisees -and Ladies Workout Express provides everything you need to get the business off the ground.'

Margaret has grown in confidence since opening her club and now feels quite comfortable managing the business. With more than 200 members, she is almost halfway to achieving her goal of 500 members by the end of her first year.
