Home Instead Senior Care is set to create 140 jobs in 17 locations across Ireland, the company reports.

There are currently 17 Home Instead Senior Care franchises operating throughout the country, each providing an in-home care service for older adults who need daily assistance. During 2012 the company is planning to expand to meet the increasing need for senior adult care providers.

Ed Murphy, Chief Executive of Home Instead Senior Care, said: “Home care is a very personal and intimate type of care. A home caregiver will deliver one-on-one care that matches the needs of the person. There is no waiting for help with activities of daily living, which happens in an institutionalised care setting. A caregiver spends quality time with the person and is readily available.”
