Topaz invests €11m to bring Eddie Rocket’s to forecourts

For the past 25 years, Eddie Rocket’s has been wowing Irish diners with their casual dining experience restaurants.

Now the brand is set to expand their 36 restaurants and bring them to Topaz outlets up and down the country, with a new deal that will see the fuel and convenience brand invest over €11 million and create an estimated 45 jobs this year.

The deal will bring the Rocket’s by Eddie Rocket’s brand to 40 forecourts across the country over the next seven years. The pilot outlet has already been launched in Douglas, County Cork, with a view to Dublin Port and Brennanstown, County Wicklow the next locations to open by the end of 2015.

Topaz chief executive Emmet O’Neill said of the investment: “This year has been a big year for Topaz, with the roll out of our Re.Store concept across Ireland – the addition of Rocket’s will further set us apart,”

The investment will see a further 15 outlets being opened over the course of 12 months. The Rocket’s by Eddie Rocket’s brand is aiming to offer casual dining in a way that has been designed with forecourts in mind and will offer a new an invigorated dining choice to the millions of road users across the country.
