O'Briens in Castlebar named Shop of the Year
The Castlebar outlet of O'Briens has won the title of Shop of the Year, the sandwich chain's top accolade.
Former accountant Laura Hill, franchise owner of the Castlebar shop at De La Salla Place, won the award at the O'Briens conference in Dublin after beating competition from 120 O'Briens outlets across Ireland and Northern Ireland.
"We have seen the business consistently grow since we opened in 2001 with our catering experiencing significant development," says Hill. "This award is great recognition for us all, particularly as we work hard to maintain high brand standards, ensure customer satisfaction and ultimately run a very successful business."
Fiacra Nagle, O'Briens chief executive officer, adds: "The shop of the Year title reflects a simply superb performance by Laura and her team throughout the past year. Results are based on a wide variety of criteria ranging from the finest customer service to best cost of sales, basically an all-round first class service. This is one shop that just goes from strength to strength and is a real credit to the brand."
