Card Connection franchise owner expands into 2nd territory

Card Connection
The Card Connection Dublin franchise owner has recently bought a second territory. Pat Blake, who owns and operates Card Connection Dublin, has expanded his business to cover Kildare.

As a Card Connection franchise owner Pat places quality greeting cards and gifts in retail outlets on a 'consignment' basis. This means the stock and display equipment are installed on free loan to the retailer. This is one step beyond 'sale or return' as Card Connection customers never have to buy the stock initially, only paying for what they sell.

Since launching his business, Pat has seen it grow steadily. He now employs two merchandisers to distribute the greetings cards and gifts to retail outlets in North and South Dublin and Kildare. A further two packers assist the merchandisers prepare for delivery and a part time bookkeeper works on the accounts. In addition, Pat has just hired someone to focus on new business development to grow the number of outlets that Pat and his team can supply.

Card Connection Dublin and Kildare franchise owner Pat Blake said: "Although I had previous management experience, I had limited knowledge of sales so the quality of the product has also been key to my success. Card Connection offers a superb selection of high quality greeting cards with designs regularly being updated from an in-house studio as well as hundreds of freelancers. This means that the range is always fresh and is well received by retailers and consumers alike. The recently introduced Card Connection gift line also offers new opportunities and will ensure a further growth area for the business."
